The second panel is based on the ceiling of a patio outside a coffee shop in Sarasota, Florida. It’s funny how little bits of my life turn up in the stories.
At this point I think if I’ve established nothing else it’s that Dan walks everywhere, so I try to avoid walking pages unless I have some specific architectural point to make. Dan should be passing by a crowd of ordinary citizens in the three panels on top, so as to make the page stronger. At the writing of this post, on March 30th, I have not gotten around to drawing those denizens. Perhaps I have by the time you see this post.
