Money is so psychological.

One thing I’ve learned, and I am really good about, is that I do not count the money during the convention. I wait until all sales are over, then I order the money in denominations, then I count. I count from smallest to largest. This is VERY important, because the other direction is SUPER DEPRESSING.

The other thing that I have to get better at is, when somebody gives me money for a donation for Rocksalt or an advance on their electric or whatnot, DO NOT PUT IT IN WITH THE REST OF YOUR MONEY. Because you will FORGET that it is not yours and you will start thinking that you have it when you most certainly do not. Makes things more painful when it comes time to pay.

The High Bridge at night. I got really lost in Kentucky trying to drive to Kroger’s and ended up here, at the highest cantilevered bridge over a navigable stream IN THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES. It was built by the same guy who built the Brooklyn Bridge, but he did a better job, because he didn’t die working on this one.

Kafka and crow communicate.


This painting is only interesting because it is an inferior reimagining of a painting at the Ringling Museum. As you can see, the perspective is really off in a bunch of places.


This painting was sort of amazing. The guy painted exactly the parts that you saw here and left the rest completely undone. It’s a picture of “The Expulsion of Hagar,” a rather depressing scene in the Bible, and my theory is that it reminded this artist of his childhood.

The bad news is that I live in Texas, so I only have four months until I really, really don’t want any more waste heat in my room.

The really bad news is that these two eruptors that I bought are not going to make back what I paid for them in time. Not unless I leave them on for all four months and Bitcoins stabilize at about $1,000 and namecoins achieve 1=1 parity with bitcoins.

So, when they tell you don’t get into mining unless you’re getting in all the way, they mean it. It’s over for small investments in mining. Unless you want an expensive space heater.
